How the BBS connects over RF When you connect to vhf.ke6i.ampr.org, your computer finds a route to my BBS, via the STANFORD gateway on 145.75 at 1200 baud. But, when my BBS sends a packet back to you, it's main path is over the STANFORD gateway at 433.43Mhz on 9600. So, it does 1200 buad up to me, and 9600 baud down to you. It's capable of a kind of strange full-duplex, even though I didn't plan it this way. I just found that coming in over the 1200 baud port was faster. Go figure.
